A wonderful gift given was the opportunity to be able to visit the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA this September 2011.
Of course no travelling would be complete without a mascot! Our mascot - "AUSSIE DUCK" a firefighter toy duck came along for the most amazing ride!

Our Adventures took us to Washington D.C and New York - from 8th September 2011 - 13th September 2011 - a very short visit overseas, but also a very emotional and memorable one.

* Arrived at Penn Station
* Firehouse - Engine 219 - Ladder 105 (they lost 7 men on 9/11)

* Walked to the 9/11 Memorial service & saw St Pauls Cathedral
* Clipper Ship cruise - saw the Statue of Liberty - then walked up Wall Street saw Stock Exchange and Trinty Church
* Engine 7 - Ladder 1 (no men lost)
* 9/11 Memorial
* Walked past 10 House (6 men lost on 9/11)
* FDNY Museum
* Walked Brooklyn Bridge
* Engine 205 - H&Ladder 118 ( 8 men lost on 9/11)
* Rescue 4 (9 men lost 9/11)

* Had NEW YORK Pizza
* Ladder 6 - Engine 9 - Satellite 1 - Chinatown ( 6 men & Jay Jonas were found in the only surviving stairwell)
